Topic:
Lap around Windows 8 & Real-World Metro Apps!

Abstract:
We start off the rebranded User Group proceedings with Windows 8. Inspirations, backdrop, architecture & plans for the next iteration of the most popular computer OS. What’s in Windows 8 for the consumer, enterprises & developers? Common tips & tricks on usage.

Next, we take a deep-dive into developing Metro apps on XAML/C# stack. We take a look at a couple of real-world Metro apps from start to finish. How to think about UX first? How do we manage application lifecycle, data, visual states, charms integration & tackle other common coding challenges. All this & more as we spend an evening with Windows 8 to kick things off.
